Busybody Bibliophilist on Stress

Everyone has them — days where nothing seems to go right. Where lack of sleep, pressures of deadlines and responsibilities or life circumstances can accumulate to cause that oh so special feeling — stress. If you are a regular reader, how does stress in your life affect your reading habits? Do you find yourself spending more time in the pages of a good book as your stress levels go up, or does stress cause you to set aside your reading? Or perhaps your reading stays the same in times of stress or calm? For my part, there have been times in my life when I have used reading to escape stress. Lately however when overwhelmed by life I seem to just leave the books untouched in piles by the bed.

As always, I’d love it if you’d answer my poll. Feel free to leave a comment.
